"Ilana had a very hands-off discussion facilitation style that was very respectful of the opinions/directions of the conversations."

Sometimes groups need assistance getting things done. Whether they are making a decision, coming to an agreement, working through a tough agenda or setting clear, achievable goals, teams find our facilitation expertise invaluable. Particularly skilled at helping individuals with divergent opinions come to consensus, we have supported countless groups of all sizes.
Clients have employed our facilitation services in a variety of ways:
As experienced facilitators, we help establish a non-confrontational environment where meaningful dialogue can lead to consensus and a clear path forward
As in-house trainers for Casey Family Programs, we were asked to assist a multitude of groups throughout the organization. Executive teams, planning committees, and division staff benefited from the presence of a neutral party during critical periods of planning and decision-making.
Building a strong sense of cohesion, purpose and community is an essential element for successful multi-day retreats and trainings. Our seamless blend of facilitation and training is a powerful foundation for multi-day events.
Americorps: VISTA and Washington Service Corps provide 3-day training sessions to help hundreds of volunteers develop the skills they need to make a difference in their communities. Over the past 5 years we have helped both local and national groups of service corps members work and learn collaboratively in a workshop setting. We consistently receive high marks from both peers and audience members for our ability to create a cohesive, high-energy classroom environment for a socially and culturally diverse audience.
Ilana is a trained Challenge Course facilitator and trainer, helping groups work together on physical tasks that stretch them beyond perceived limits and illustrate the positive power of teamwork. Achieving the "impossible" (leaping from a telephone pole, balancing on a cable, or juggling rubber chickens, for example) by cooperating with others is a powerful way to expand the individual and collective capacity of any team. Participants feel more confident after doing a Challenge Course together, and more cohesive as a group. The value of interpersonal skills is highlighted over that of competition. Whether your group is a board of directors or a high-risk teen group, challenge activities are a powerful and enjoyable way to inspire participants to what they can achieve as a team.
Ilana has has worked with and for Washington State University / 4-H in this capacity for 15 years. She has facilitated out-of-doors challenge course experiences at local "ropes" challenge courses and parks, and indoor course experiences in various settings, including board rooms, cruise ships, conference and retreat centers and industrial locations.
