About Ilana Guttmann

Ilana Guttmann

Ilana has been helping groups improve their working relationships, communication and training for over 15 years. Her unique approach to instructional design, group facilitation and training engages learners in a genuine, practical and enjoyable way that delivers long-lasting results.

Ilana's dynamic training techniques have proven effective across a broad range of sectors.  These include: public/governmental entities, local, national and international corporations, not-for-profit agencies, and tribes. Her approach has benefited groups of all sizes, from small teams of key players to entities with hundreds of members.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ilana grew up in Seattle, Washington. She attended Brown University and then Reed College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

During the summer months Ilana and her husband, Gary, can be found kayaking in Southeast Alaska with their two children, Mia and Sage. (Visit them there at www.seakayakalaska.com.)
 

About Kara Laverde

Kara Laverde

Kara has fifteen years of experience providing organizational development services for non-profit, government, and business clients. She specializes in adult learning, including curriculum development, training delivery, and evaluation. Kara has a broad background in organizational development and is seasoned in areas including project management, meeting facilitation, team development, vendor management, coaching, train-the-trainer, and leadership development.

Past experience includes a position as a Training Specialist with Casey Family Programs and as coordinator of a domestic violence training program for physicians for Providence Health Systems. Kara is a social worker with clinical experience in primary health care and family violence. Certifications include Facilitative Leadership through Interaction Associates.

Kara received a BA from Smith College and an MSW from the University of Washington.
